'Boat bowl' blacksmith made candle holder/sculpture.

Hand forged, blacksmith made, mild steel 'boat' bowl that can be used as a candle holder or as a sculptural piece. Inside is a solid metal candle plate which will take a ball or pillar candle up to 3.5 inches in diameter. Even without a candle this is a beautiful, sculptural piece. Our local beach has a sunken wreck - this bowl was based on the protruding ribs of the hull. Each rib shows the individual hammer marks on the metal - rather like the blacksmiths finger print. Every bowl is individually made and as such will have slight variations - this means that each bowl is unique.  Finished with a coating of museum quality wax this item is designed for indoor use.
