Bruce Chatwin signed first edition book 'On The Black Hill'

Regular price £325.00
Since his death in 1989 signed Chatwin books have become sought after, especially earlier ones. This was Chatwin's 3rd book. It tells the hauntingly claustrophobic tale of the closed off life of twins, Lewis and Benjamin Jones.

This 1982 first edition of On The Black Hill bears the author's signature in black ink to the title page. The book itself is unclipped. It is in sound condition but has some age related wear and foxing. The corners are a little creased and the page edges are a little rubbed but there are no loose pages, no fold marks from turndowns and no tears. The gilt on the spine is in good condition. The cover has a small amount of old staining at the top. There are no tears to the cover and the picture from the front looks unblemished. . We have added a protective cover suitable for use with antique books, folded and not glued in any way.

This is a relatively rare find and would make a wonderful gift (and investment) for the discerning literary lover.
