Dante Gabriel Rossetti - Day Dream, large unframed print.
Size 110cm x 67 cm.
Completed in 1880, the model was Rossetti's muse, and the subject of many of his works, Jane Morris, the wife of William Morris. She is seated beneath a sycamore tree, in her hand is a stem of honeysuckle - considered to be a token of love. It has been suggested that this may be an indication of the illicit affair between the artist and the model.
A stunning image of lush green Pre-Raphaelite gorgeousness. This is a large print which would make a beautiful statement piece.
