Oil painting, the white cottage, Clee Hill, Shropshire by W.R.Jennings

Walter Robin Jennings was a British landscape artist. A well recognised and popular painter, his works were reproduced by Medici and others. One of his paintings was chosen by Queen Elizabeth as her personal Christmas card.

This, oil on canvas, painting is of the white cottage at Clee Hill in Shropshire. It is in very good condition and is a lovely example of Jennings work. The distant hills create depth whilst the slightly overcast sky is skillfully rendered. 

Unusually, this painting comes with the original 1971 receipt for £145. It is unglazed and in its original washed grey/white frame.
