Hand knotted Chinese 100% silk rug

This exquisite hand knotted 100% silk rug was commissioned to be made to a Persian design by it's original owner in China in the early 1980s. it is a beautiful and very finely detailed rug that measures 152cm x 94cm (approx 5 foot x 3 foot). The detail is superb with birds, flowers, foliage and animals. A similar rug today would cost in the region of 3-5K. It is in exceptional condition and clean. Originally one of a pair - one of which was hung on a wall. This one was never put out for display.
