Vintage red and black Welsh tapestry blanket

Classic red and black double-Sided Welsh tapestry blanket. We purchased this from the daughter of the original owner. It dates to the 1960s/70s. The design is called knot garden. This design was used by Melyn Tregwynt in Pembrokeshire. 

It is in a very good condition overall. There are one or two very tiny holes which would be easily stitched and a very small area of discoloration, possibly a coffee stain. These are barely noticeable apart from on very close inspection. See photos.

The blanket measures 79 x 92 inches including the fringe. It is fringed to two sides. The reverse is a maroon colour.

This would add a great pop of colour to a bed, settee, or chair.
